Your baby’s brain is developing fast, an amazingly fast growth that will continue up to the first couple of years of its life. Another extremely important organ is the liver, which is now processing a substance called bilirubin. It’s a job the liver still does with a little of your help. Some babies, when they are born, need a bit of time for their liver to start taking control of the bilirubin and develop what is called jaundice.

As with the reproductive organs of baby girls who already have ovaries, fallopian tubes and even eggs, baby boy’s testicles are beginning to drop to his scrotum and are developing what will later be the sperm.

There is little doubt that by this time babies can hear sounds coming from the outside. It’s a good time to listen to music with your baby, or even read them fairy tales!
